Windows Phone 7 Series Impression

February 16, 2010 in 3g, 7, Cell Phones, Microsoft, Windows, bluetooth, iphone, mobile, phone, review, verizon, wifi by admin

Windows Mobile team has re-written its Windows Mobile OS with the 7 Series .

For the geeks out there that was looking for a “Zune Phone” that’s basically what the user interface is based off of.

Featuring different Hubs such as People,Pictures,Office,Games,Music & Video this hubs can be accessed through Dynamic  Tiles on the home-screen that updates  via online services such as Facebook & Windows Live.

The Windows Phone 7 in my opinion is not a big competition For its competitors,  iPhone OS & Android OS.

Let us Know what you think?

Verizon Palm Pre Plus Review

January 25, 2010 in Cell Phones, Palm, Pre, pixi, plus, verizon, webos by admin

Got my hands on The New Verizon Palm Pre Plus.

The Pre plus is basically a upgrade from the Pre on sprint.

Here are the minor changes:

  • The home button on the front is removed on the Pre Plus. Insted of taping the button on the original Pre you would just tap  the slide area below the screen.
  • Sliding mechanism is enhanced
  • keyboard tweaked

The major changes:

  • The Pre Plus has 16GB of internal storage versus 8GB on the original Pre.
  • Touchstone charger capability right out the box.
  • Bluetooth

The Verdict:

Warning: Not for the business man who types  emails alot. This phone has a incredibly small keyboard. With the minor upgrade changes on this device the major change is the network change. Verizon 3g Speeds are amazing. The 16gb of internal memory makes the device more of a media device to watch videos and download tons of apps on.  Also an expected upgrade is comming sometime in Febuary to include video recording and more..

Stay tuned.

This Device is Avaliable NOW!  @ Verizon $149.00 with the $100 mail-in-rebate with a 2 year contract.

CES 2010: The HP Slate

January 7, 2010 in 2010, Apple, Hp, Laptops, ces, ces2010, slate, tablet by admin

Microsoft and Hp has teamed up and launched a tablet.  This tablet is ironically a surprise because all us geeks are awaiting the release of the Apple tablet. The BATTLE of The TABLETS!. According to Ballmer it’s more powerful than a phone and almost as powerful as a PC. It’s perfect for reading and actually has pinch-and-zoom, yes, multitouch. The price wasn’t mentioned, but it’ll be available “later this year.” Of course, it’s running full Windows 7. Check out video below.

Stay tuned to The Gadget 411 for more info on this one!
